Submission procedures

Ordered platform submission workflow and foundry signoff boundary.

This is the final Run 2 platform workflow recorded in the archive. It is a historical operational reference, not a live Run 3 instruction. Verify the platform and current run announcement before use.

Ordered workflow

  1. Create or open the project on platform.wafer.space. (archive message; Discord)
  2. Add the Crowd Supply order number to the project. (archive message; Discord)
  3. If CoB service was bought, enable the CoB option. Passing a pad check does not buy CoB service. (archive message; Discord) (archive message; Discord)
  4. Upload the GDS. The GDS may come from LibreLane or another tool. (archive message; Discord)
  5. Pass the current online precheck. The online check is the manufacturing gate. Local precheck is useful for debugging. (archive message; Discord)
  6. Select submitted for manufacturing before the run deadline. (archive message; Discord)

Revision behavior

Confirmed for the Run 2 platform: A designer could select a new manufacturing revision until the deadline. This supported “submit early, submit often,” but did not authorize changes after the deadline. (archive message; Discord)

Confirmed diagnostic aid: Platform failures were intended to show the command that ran so the same failure could be reproduced locally. (archive message; Discord)

Signoff boundary

Passing open precheck is not final foundry approval. After reticle stitching, GF runs a proprietary DRC deck. (archive message; Discord)

Obsolete guidance

Obsolete test-platform history — 2025-11-19: Community messages described giving the test platform a GDS URL plus MD5 or SHA1. The later official Run 2 instruction used platform.wafer.space, online upload, a current precheck pass, and the manufacturing-submission selection.
