Hey guys, an analog computing enthusiast here.
I just wanted to clarify on the pins that are available in the GFMCU180 run - its says only 2 analog pins but a majority are "bidirectional" - can we use these as well for routing analog signals ?
I see some LibreLane pads
```
Essentially, we do not care about what is manufactured, as long as it's DRC clean. And if you want to use the CoB packaging option, the bonder expects the pads to be positioned at the same coordinates. This is checked as part of the precheck.
Thanks for the prompt reply ! Just had a few follow up questions
What is this pin overhead ? Can we use all the 48 pins in quarter slot ?
say the quarter slot says - it says 60% overhead ? (edited)
I'm not sure what you're referring to with pin overhead. Yes, as the website says, you have 48 I/O pads that you could change to analog pads: https://wafer.space/#slot-0p5x0p5
Here's an example configuration for the quarter slot: https://github.com/wafer-space/gf180mcu-project-template/blob/main/librelane/slots/slot_0p5x0p5.yaml
there are bipolar junction transistors available; you probably do not want to use them for circuits that with just minor changes can be done using (unipolar) MOSFETs though.  AFAIK they are usually only deployed for band gap references and maybe some kinds of low-noise/RF things, but I can't recommend them for purposes that are substantially different from "bandgap reference".
I'm just brainstorming retro circuits and I'm not serious, sorry.  I still have 3 sn76477 from a science project I never finished. Now I'm really afraid of letting out the magic smoke.  If I were serious, I'd think about asynchronous adiabatic logic.
Live to a large extend inside dnwell and do rely on the ldmos structures.
You'll need to do some replacement opamp-like things to make up for bipolar junction transistor vs. unipolar MOSFET differences, but it's not like there's any difficulty matching the specs of such an old bipolar opamp with a gf180mcuD-class CMOS process.... thus, should b e fine.
